Thanks to all for a very special day. It was possibly the hardest and yet memorable 10K I have done. Thank you to all marshalls they were amazing. I hope you raised the amount you were aiming for.

Really good event. My feedback would be. Have you thought about giving a T-Shirt at the end of the event, instead of a medal.

My time looked a little different from that displayed on top of the car.
If the timing was a bit problematic for the event; have you considered implementing a race-chip ankle band?

Really enjoyed the run – tripped on the first downhill track cut my elbow. Picked myself and finished in 55 mins. Hills werent too bad it was the killer heat. Cheers to the bloke outside his house on the last Km handing out pints of water – much appeciated.

Looking forward to doing it again next year.

I would like to try it again as I am still not sure whether it was the hills or the heat that destroyed me. Very well organised event and an interesting course. There are not many of these hybrid courses that combine road with cross country so it certainly stands out.

At the prize giving was at 1200 left finsh line at 1150 but therewerea number of runners still comming in.

Perhaps the prize giving could be delayed till 1215 to allow for coverage of thelast set of runners.

I wasn’t excecting such a tough route either but I really really enjoyed it. I think an ‘I tamed the toad’ t-shirt sounds fab. Thanks also for the stalls etc on the green which kept my relatives entertained while I was running. One suggestion for next year would be some better cycle parking – I noticed quite a few people (myself included) cycled and had to make do with sign posts, fences etc.

Thanks for all the great feedback both here and on runnersworld website. We will look to build upon this for next year and beyond.

Re the comments on results/timing above; I’d just like to reassure everyone that we had robust systems in place (3 pairs of position recorders, computer time stamping with manual spot checks and video for back up). The comments relate to the provisional publication and were all corrected as part of our validation and in the final version now online.

Based on how tough people are saying the course was I foresee a “I TAMED THE TOAD” T-shirt design for next year’s finishers – what do you think?

What a lovely bunch of runners you all were. I have marshalled at various events and have never been thanked so many times and seen so many smiling faces. Good on you!
